THE RETURN OF THE GREEN RANGER THE DOWN UNDER FILES

Colonial Angel Grove isn't quite as colonial as you might think. What you're seeing is a theme park at Gosford (about 100km North of Sydney) known as "Old Sydney Town".

IN AND AROUND THE SYDNEY SHOWGROUNDS Now (in 2000) known as Fox Studios Australia, and looking VERY DIFFERENT to the way it did back when these photos were taken by the TV show's cameras. (left top) Bulk & Skull and Tommy on "the stairs", leading up to the Commemorative Pavilion. If you ever go to Fox in this century, and go to the Titanic Ride, you're walking up these stairs. (right top) The Rangers question their possibly bogus leader as in the background, the Sydney Football Stadium rises upwards. These grounds where they are standing are now part of the professional studio, out the front of the workshops. (left bottom) The Rangers sit at the lunch table outside the Macarthur Pavilion (clearly labelled). (right bottom) The Green Ranger challenges his white friend next to the Suttor Pavilion (in the background). If you go to Fox and enter the gates to the Public section of the Backlot, look right and you will see a grassed and tree lined area just outside what is now the Babe Backlot. This is the Green Ranger's ground...

THE DREADED RAT CREATURES Remember them? Well.. Here they are! After being rejected by Bryan Spicer for looking totally campy and occupying a very dusty corner of the Production Office for about a month, they suddenly dissapeared.. to re-emerge again in Colonial Angel Grove. Well after all this IS Saban's we're talking about. What a pity the same efficiency couldn't be applied to the movie production...
